1954 The Port of Ono and the Port of Kanaishi were combined and became Port of Kanazawa
1964 Designated as a major port under the Port and Harbor Act
1970 Sekiyu Terminal (-7m) was completed

1972 No.1 and No.2 Tomizu Wharfs (-10m) were completed and opened for service
