1995 Nanao Ota Thermal Power Station No.1 plant (500 thousand kw) began its operation.
1998 Nanao Ota Thermal Power Station No.2 plant (700 thousand kw) began its operation.
1999 Port of Nanao, 100th Anniversary
2000 Revision of the Port and Harbor Plan for Port of Nanao
2004 The Port and Harbor Plan was revised in the 174th Planning Committee of Ports and Harbors Council
The security facility was established based on the amended International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS).
